• Additional duties
• Manage time effectively; maintain accurate records of grades and attendance; report progress to parents timely; participate in meetings, conferences, and training; prepare substitutes; protect equipment and facilities; collaborate in school teams/committees; demonstrate public relations skills; apply conflict resolution skills; use diagnostic data to improve instruction; be available to stakeholders outside the school day; sponsor extracurricular activities; report suspected child abuse and neglect;
  
  complete Safe Schools training; supervise students and interns; follow district and school procedures; assume other responsibilities as directed by the principal.

A BA degree, valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as needed. Alternatives the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Ability to perform the job and access the environment. May be required: sitting, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), moving around the room or school, reaching, squatting, kneeling, typing, and moving light furniture. Must know how to operate or be willing to learn to operate multimedia equipment and current technology.

On-site attendance is mandatory. Expected to work in environments with varying noise, temperature, and air quality; interruptions are common. Requires flexibility and patience; self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision. After-hours work may be required. Salary and work calendar established annually by the district. All GMCS schools are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
