• Appropriate NMPED teacher assistant License
• High School Diploma
• Must be able to pass a background check

Reports to:

Building Principal

Terms of employment: 157 Work Days

Responsible for providing instruction support for teachers and students in the classroom, including working with one on one and/or groups of students and to reinforce lessons/curriculum; organizing and maintaining student data; ordering and maintaining instructional and clerical materials and supplies; assisting with reports and newsletters; participating in evening functions; assisting with student testing, selection, and registration; and inventorying equipment and supplies.

Essential job functions:

• Must pass a background check
• Must be able and willing to attend a CPI certification training
• Work one-on-one with Special Education Student, including reinforcing lessons/curriculum.
• Assist identified student groups working in classroom on current assignments, including reinforcing lessons/curriculum.
• Organize and maintain student data.
• Maintain instructional and clerical materials and supplies for team.
• Compute reports, contribute to newsletters, etc. as requested by staff.
• Participate in evening functions for parent involvement.
• Assist with student testing, selection, and registration for parent notifications.
• Inventory equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
