Special Education Teacher - Magdalena, NM

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners from PreK through 5th grade. Located near Magdalena, NM, this full-time position offers a stable schedule from Monday through Thursday, with assignments beginning as soon as possible and continuing until late May 2027.

You'll be instrumental in shaping the educational journey of a caseload of 16 students, providing both inclusion and pull-out services to best meet each child’s needs. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about individualized instruction and dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Prior experience in elementary special education settings preferred
• Strong understanding of both inclusion and pull-out service models
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for diverse learners
• Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families
• Organizational skills for maintaining records and meeting deadlines

• Deliver differentiated and engaging instruction to students within PreK - 5th grade
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate students’ unique learning needs
• Provide a combination of inclusion and pull-out interventions in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Track student progress, maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with all special educational requirements
• Cultivate a supportive, encouraging classroom environment that promotes student independence and self-advocacy
