Lease Operator

• Regular and frequent well site visitation (visit each well at least 3 times/week and leases with critical equipment may require daily visitation frequency). Do not utilize computer data analysis as a substitute for physical, on-site operational visitation.
• Optimize and increase production where possible
• Gauge oil and water tanks a minimum of once weekly (record gauges on daily reports and in PRODVIEW). Inspect the condition of the tanks and look for leaks-bad valves-unexplained decreases in volume-broken or missing seals-labels/signs Maintain an accurate seal registry (notebook).
• Keep field oil volumes minimal with a focus on minimizing volumes before winter months
• Review production once/week to verify accuracy of reporting (gas, oil, and water)
• Adjust gas and oil production volumes to known and recorded field volumes if necessary, input oil sales and water drains
• Verify month-end gauges before the 5th of the next month
• Obtain and accurately record production and operational information and data each visit
• Inspect and test the proper function of gas flow measurement equipment
• Ensure and record the accuracy of current information on the meter-card (plate size, gas sample, and inspection/calibration dates)
• Oil and water production (tank/pit gauges) (also check gauge reference points)
• Make note of safety and environmental problems-make necessary corrections and notify foreman
• Cut weeds around well heads, tank berms, meter houses, burners, or other areas of daily operations (not entire location) Lease road or access road conditions
• Check signs and labels for legibility and accuracy of information
• Perform visual inspection of pressure relief equipment to ensure proper functionality and integrity
• Proper handling and care for electronic instruments and tools
• Must have the ability to climb stairs and physically lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures
• Assist in the training of less experienced workers
• Proper care and operation of company vehicles
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to comply with all company policies and procedures
