Where You Will Work

Chino is an open‑pit copper mining complex located 15 miles from the historic mining community of Silver City in southwestern New Mexico. The historic Chino mine was among the world's first low‑grade, open‑pit copper mines. Today, the operation consists of a 36,000‑metric‑ton‑per‑day concentrator that produces copper and a 150‑million‑pound‑per‑year solvent extraction/electrowinning plant that produces copper cathode from solution generated by run‑of‑mine leaching.

• Identify system constraints and proactively pursue elimination of them through the continuous improvement cycle.
• Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures and reduces production costs through development of maintenance methods to improve process efficiency and reliability.
• Lead others and/or perform root cause analysis of equipment failures. Acts as a subject matter expert as required and assists in the identification and implementation of corrective actions or technologies.
• Research new reliability processes and identify methods to predict and improve reliability.
• Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment and set expectations within the department for precision maintenance.
• Review and establish Key Performance Indices for equipment.
• Identify PM opportunities and maintenance plans by leading failure mode and effect analysis.
• Analyze current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and identify reports to measure health indicators.
• Proactively develop and provide safety perspective for equipment and processes; make recommendations of engineering solutions or methods to eliminate hazards.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in Engineering, OR
• Master’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in Engineering.
• Proficiency of MS Office suite including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
• Ability to listen and understand information and ideas and express thought and ideas clearly and concisely through oral and written communication.
• Customer focused to provide quality service to improve equipment and process reliability.
• Knowledge and understanding of reliability centered maintenance practices.
• Experience with engineering design drawings and schematics
• Self‑starter with solid integrity
• Understand the importance of safety, legality and quality.

• Experience with predictive maintenance, leadership, maintenance plans, and downtime reporter
• Supervisory/ lead experience

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$105,000-$145,000
. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job‑related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
