THE POSITIONH2O Innovation is known for its state‑of‑the‑art water and wastewater treatment systems as well as providing water and wastewater plant operations and maintenance management support across North America. H2O is seeking Certified Grade 2/3 Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators in Dulce, New Mexico. Work will consist of 12‑hour days, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off shift work (including potential night shift work) at a local Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Flights, travel, and accommodations are paid. Get your full year of pay, with only working less than half the year.
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service.
- Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support staff with the maintenance and operation of the treatment plants according to related government standards.
- Conduct laboratory analyses and associated process adjustments.
- Maintain and operate the filtering and chemical treatment process.
- Maintain all related readings and documentation.
- Keep a daily log and documentation of analytical parameters.
- Create and complete work orders for servicing and repairs.
- Provide vacation relief support to operations staff.
- Assist with purchasing goods and equipment, and maintain inventory.
- Enter data and create reports for government agencies, departments, and other organizations as required.
- Conduct water‑level measurements and interpret data.
- Load and unload chemicals and supplies.
- Perform calculations related to dosing, flow rates, and other weights and measures.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation policies.
- Maintain facilities including landscaping and vegetation control.
- Communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors.
- Support clients, vendors, and engineers.
- Be shared on‑call for emergency response.
- Train and support other staff or on‑site personnel.
The selected candidate will be recognized for organizational, rigor, and analytical skills. They will be autonomous in a multi‑tasking environment, goal‑oriented, and act as a team player who shares knowledge and seeks continual learning. A professional and positive attitude towards team members and external & internal clients is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS- A minimum of Grade 2 in Water/Wastewater disciplines is required.
- Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment.
- Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical ability to perform on‑call services on a rotational schedule.
- Excellent professional oral and written communication skills.
- Physical demands: walking/standing, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling for 6‑10 hr/day; computer work 1‑4 hr/day; no lifting more than 50 lb; busy environment with indoor/outdoor work in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
