Senior Environmental Test Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Test Engineer to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of environmental test campaigns for advanced aerospace and high‑reliability systems. This role is critical to validating system performance, reliability, and safety across demanding operational environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, planning, and execution of environmental test campaigns, including thermal, altitude, vibration, humidity, and related testing.
- Translate system and subsystem requirements into test objectives, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
- Own environmental test planning from concept through execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Coordinate and lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and support test execution activities.
- Provide technical leadership across systems, structures, electrical, and operations teams.
- Manage environmental test infrastructure, equipment, and external test vendors.
- Analyze test data, document results, and present findings to engineering leadership.
- Ensure testing aligns with applicable industry standards and internal quality requirements.
- Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities within test programs and infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of environmental testing experience, including 3+ years leading test campaigns for aerospace or complex engineering systems.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing environmental test programs.
- Strong understanding of environmental test standards and best practices.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with aerospace, defence, unmanned systems, or other high‑reliability platforms.
- Familiarity with certification or qualification testing requirements.
- Experience in startup or fast‑paced engineering environments.
- Experience with test automation, data acquisition systems, and advanced instrumentation.
