Corporate Tax Advisor About the team
Sum Up's European Tax team is responsible for corporate income tax and transfer pricing compliance across 35+ entities — a function that sits at the heart of the company's financial integrity and growth. As Sum Up moves into a tax‑payable position and prepares for the next stage of its journey, the direct tax domain has never been more critical or more visible.
This role is the primary owner of that domain: you’ll design the compliance framework, ensure every filing is accurate and on time, and build the controls infrastructure that underpins sound tax governance. If you’re looking for a role where your technical expertise has real, measurable impact, and where you can shape a function rather than just maintain one, this is it.
you'll do
Own end-to-end Corporate Income Tax compliance across all European entities and Australia, including filing design, instalment calculations, deadline management, and audit‑ready documentation
Lead the remediation of outstanding direct tax compliance items, building a structured backlog register with risk ratings and a clear remediation plan
Establish and maintain a 4‑eyes quality control framework across all CIT, withholding tax, Pillar 2, and Country‑by‑Country Reporting filings
Build and maintain a master compliance calendar with jurisdiction‑specific workflows, ensuring the compliance cycle runs predictably and without last‑minute escalations
Advise on complex direct tax matters — including transfer pricing, M&A activity, and restructuring — and act as the primary point of contact for Finance, Accounting, and Controlling teams
Strong, hands‑on experience in corporate income tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions in a multinational environment, gained both in‑house and in an advisory capacity
Deep knowledge of CIT mechanics, withholding tax obligations, and a solid working understanding of Pillar 2 / GloBE rules and Country‑by‑Country Reporting
Ability to read, challenge, and discuss financial statements independently, with a strong accounting foundation and familiarity with the interaction between management accounts and statutory accounts
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query) and strong ERP experience, preferably SAP
Comfort working in a fast‑moving, evolving environment where priorities shift and the ability to manage multiple jurisdictions simultaneously is essential

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: be part of a workplace that values and promotes diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone’s perspectives are respected and embraced.
