The City of Eunice has an immediate opening for a Certified Firefighter with EMT-B, EMT-I or Paramedic. This full-time position reports to the Fire Chief.

Pay scale:
Firefighter/ EMT-B at $18hr
. FF/ EMT-I at $20hr
. FF/ Paramedic at $23hr
.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be a citizen of the United States or be able to show proof of legal authority to be employed within the United States.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be free of DWI/DUI convictions.
• Must not have any respiratory difficulties which would prohibit the use of self-contained breathing apparatus.
• Must hold an IFSAC Sealed Firefighter I/II certification.
• Must hold a current NM EMT-B, NM EMT-I, or Paramedic certification.
• Must be able to pass a (PAT) physical agility test including lifting, bending, stooping, and climbing to perform EMS/Fire Responder duties.
• Must be able to multi-task and take on assignments.
• Must be familiar with basic computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to pass background investigation.
