Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a qualified, licensed School Psychologist to provide contracted, on-site school psychological services for a school in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. The School Psychologist will support students in Preschool through Grade 12 by conducting evaluations, participating in IEP development, and collaborating with district special education staff in accordance with New Mexico licensure requirements and district policies.

Requirements
  • Current and valid New Mexico School Psychologist license/certification (NM PED), or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Specialist-level degree (Ed.S.) or Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Eligibility to work in New Mexico public schools, including FBI background clearance
  • Resume reflecting relevant school-based experience
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive school psychological services to students in accordance with district needs and IEP requirements
  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments using district- and state-approved testing instruments
  • Prepare written evaluation reports, including diagnoses and recommended educational services, in compliance with district timelines and procedures
  • Participate in IEP meetings to review evaluation results and contribute to service planning
  • Prescribe and recommend services as part of the IEP process, as appropriate
  • Maintain a comprehensive task log and submit required documentation to the district on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with special education staff, administrators, teachers, and related service providers
  • Meet with the Special Education Director for consultation and follow-up services as required
  • Adhere to all district policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards
  • Participate in Medicaid random time sampling and submit required billing documentation
  • Provide own travel to assigned school sites
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with FERPA, IDEA, and other applicable regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
