Speech Pathologist

This contract position focuses on delivering expert speech-language pathology services to students in grades K-5 across two engaging schools. Take on a meaningful caseload of 35+ students in collaboration with dedicated educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience- Valid New Mexico SLP license required
- Current New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) credential must be in hand and ready to present (pending applications are not accepted)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in a school setting with children ages 5-11 preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative school-based team
- Provide screening, assessment, and therapy for K-5 students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families for student success - Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring
- Deliver services across two schools, adapting to each unique school culture
This full-time opportunity starts August 4th, 2026 and ends May 28th, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. The role emphasizes professional growth in a supportive atmosphere, serving a diverse student population and building lasting connections.
