• Shall perform medical technician duties and manage patient's needs as described in the (PD), identified by the Service Unit and as directed by Supervisor.
• Shall perform in accordance with the competency standards.
• Shall provide professional medical services or direct patient care services as follows:
• Perform moderate and high complexity analytical patient testing in all areas of the clinical Laboratory to include Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Serology, and Specimen preparation following internal Policies and Guidelines.
• Perform phlebotomy on infants, children, adult, and geriatric patients using proper phlebotomy techniques.
• Perform quality control and preventative maintenance on laboratory analyzers as mandated by Pinon Health Center Laboratory Policies.
• Accession lab orders and result lab test in EHR/RPMS (LIS) ensuring completeness in data entry.
• Process reference Laboratory samples following internal Policies and specimen processing requirements of reference Laboratory.
• Capable of taking remedial action, when necessary, following policies and procedures regarding 'Out of Control' quality control or analyzer problems.

• Must have twenty-four (24) months as a Medical Technologist with generalist experience.
• Must have a B.S. Degree in Medical Technology or one of the Biological Science (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, etc.) from an accredited college or university.
• Must be certified in Medical Laboratory Technology by the appropriate agency.
• Must have certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) OR American Medical Technologist (AMT).
• Must have certification in Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Must also provide current and up-to-date immunization records including COVID vaccinations.
• Language Requirements and Cultural Awareness. The Contractor shall read, understand, speak, and write English to effectively communicate with patients and other health care workers, and shall be respectful of the local, American Indian and Alaska Native culture.
• Must possess basic knowledge, skills, and abilities to use a computer.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE This is a labor hour type task order with Base Plus Option Periods Base Period 03/10/2022 to 03/31/2022. First Option Period 04/01/2022 to 06/30/2022. Second Option Period 07/01/2022 to 09/30/2022 Third Option Period 10/01/2022 to 12/31/2022.
