This New Mexico healthcare job is scheduled for a 13-week travel contract with a day shift schedule and strong team collaboration across inpatient and emergency room pharmacy services. Schedule:
4 shifts per week, typically 40 hours total - Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830 - $3,040
- Start Date: September 7, 2026
- On-Call: Required after pharmacy hours; typically 3-4 nights per week, shared between two pharmacists
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Experience Level: Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
- Active New Mexico Board of Pharmacy License
- Registered Pharmacist credential with a Bachelor's degree
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience
- Previous travel pharmacist experience required
- Ability to provide coverage that may include weekdays and weekends
- Availability for after-hours on-call responsibilities
- Compliance with facility immunization requirements, including required flu and COVID-19 vaccination policies as applicable
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Dispense medications and support safe, accurate inpatient pharmacy operations
- Review and verify orders in the ER, where most medications are auto-verified
- Participate in inpatient care coordination, including a daily 10:00 AM care plan meeting
- Provide support for a small outpatient infusion clinic with approximately one antibiotic infusion per day
- Manage an average monthly volume of approximately 1,200 pharmacy orders across inpatient and ER services
- Deliver timely clinical support and collaborate closely with the pharmacy team
- Serve as a dependable on-call resource after pharmacy hours
