This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite throughout a district, conducting essential assessments and delivering consultative services to help optimize student achievement and behavioral health. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to address a range of academic and behavioral concerns, ensuring every student gets the support they need.
KeyQualifications:
- Master's degree or Doctorate in Psychology or related field
- Valid New Mexico PED School Psychologist License
- Previous experience as a school psychologist or diagnostician preferred
- Comfortable traveling between schools within the district
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive school environments
- Conduct an average of 30-40 comprehensive evaluations for students across the district
- Provide consultative support to teachers, administrators, and parents regarding assessment outcomes and intervention strategies
- Develop recommendations to improve the academic and behavioral performance of students
- Contribute to the design and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of evaluations, recommendations, and meetings
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting data-driven decisions
- Serve as a resource and advocate for student mental health needs
