We are looking for a Recruiter to join our growing operations at our Reserve, Louisiana location. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone wanting to break into the world of recruiting and talent acquisition. WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Recruiter at Louisiana Cat, you’ll play a critical role in attracting top talent across a range of functions — from service technicians and sales experts to leadership and support roles. You’ll own the full‑cycle recruitment process and act as a trusted partner to hiring managers across the organization.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION
  • Full‑Cycle Recruitment
    :
    Lead end‑to‑end hiring efforts for hourly and salaried roles, including heavy equipment service, sales, parts, and corporate functions.
  • Sourcing Strategy
    :
    Proactively source top talent through creative strategies such as networking, referrals, and pipeline development — with a strong focus on passive candidates.
  • Compelling Job Postings
    :
    Partner with hiring managers to create job descriptions leading to engaging job posting opportunities across multiple platforms to attract top talent.
  • Screening & Selection
    :
    Conduct resume reviews and phone interviews, presenting qualified, pre‑screened candidates to hiring managers for consideration.
  • Relationship Building
    :
    Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, becoming a trusted advisor and strategic recruiting partner.
  • Data Management
    :
    Maintain accurate candidate records and provide timely reporting using our ATS and HR systems.
  • Market Insights
    :
    Stay current on industry trends, competitor hiring strategies, and labor market insights to continuously improve our recruiting approach.
  • Employer Branding
    :
    Represent Louisiana Cat at job fairs, industry events, and community outreach efforts to enhance our presence as an employer of choice.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field – or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 or more years’ experience recruiting, preferably in heavy equipment, skilled trades, service, or sales industries.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and engaging passive talent using Linked In, job boards, and networking strategies.
  • Tech‑savvy with proficiency in MS Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, and HR platforms (Paylocity experience is a plus).
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Confidentiality, professionalism, and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
JOB FACTS
  • Work Location: On‑site, in our Corporate office in Reserve, Louisiana
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to process paperwork and utilize office equipment (including personal computer, phone, copiers, etc.) A large portion of the day is spent communicating orally in person and by phone.

    Normal sight or corrected vision is required to read documents and use standard computer terminals. The employee must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds from floor to chest.
