The Work

Establishes, captures and maintains software configuration baseline. Creates and maintains paperwork associated change orders for software. Researches, implements and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management tasks to ensure new parameters are documented and are in accordance with the updated system requirements.

Performs build procedures used to develop software product development and use. Ensures software configuration standards and policies are met. Trains software developers in the use of configuration management tools and implementation of software quality standards. Maintains the software configuration management system including collection and distribution of associated baseline data, change request processing, change order documentation and ensures delivery of products have been verified to operational environments and standards.

Implements long term organizational objectives for software process improvement. Ensures accurate and verified baseline data.

Desired Skills

Understanding configuration management concepts, able to assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills. Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team. Experience with Software Development Lifecycle Software Configuration Management. Experience in handling classified data in a classified environment.
