Responsibilities As a Technical Writer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have an opportunity to do the following:
* Write, rewrite and/or edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications.
* Impart a wide range of knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in technical fields and related disciplines gained through wide exposure to weapons systems operations and/or test and evaluation processes and procedures.
* Confer with authors and subject matter experts to recommend edits to technical documentation to include review of content for completeness, accuracy and correctness of language use.
* Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources. Qualifications
* Active SECRET clearance.
* Must be able to work under general direction and independently determine and develop approaches to technical documentation production.
* BS/BA and 5-7 years of related experience.
* Previous technical writing experience supporting NSWC DET WS or other NSWC Detachments is highly desired. Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $30.00/Hr.
- USD $35/Hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
