Summary

This position provides Facility Management for two spectacular parks with phenomenal resources. These parks and resources represent some of the most world-renowned culturally significant structures and are both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Facility management will include a new housing consturction and campground projects, significant trails project improvements and trails management plans, new headquarters  are an innovative, creative driven team of managers and leaders.

Duties

Participates in the development and implementation of collaborative management strategies and decisions affecting overall park management and policy. Represents the park in public contacts, negotiates, and collaborates with representatives of the National Park Service, federal, state and local agencies, indigenous communities, historic organizations, universities and private individuals interested in the park and the NPS. Oversees multi-year operational budgets such as cyclic maintenance, repair/rehab, fee demo, line item construction, Federal Land and Highways Program, Housing Initiative and housing program.

Exercises full range of supervisory duties including managing through subordinate supervisors. Responsible for a comprehensive safety and training program enforcing regulatory policies and mandates and eliminating at-risk behaviors. Manages assets, operations, housing and fleet through the Facility Management Software System and collaborates with others to ensure systems are current and forward leaning. Maintains Park facilities/assets in compliance and best management practices to meet requirement of the NPS Environmental Audit Program, tribal consultation/collaboration, building codes, life safety codes, fire protection codes, and accessibility requirements.

Ensures that work on cultural and natural resources adheres to the National Historic Preservation Act and the National Environmental Policy Act and is done in consultation with tribes/pueblos. Develops and implements innovative projects including project scope, goals and objectives, facilities planning and design processes and develops spending plans and budget protocols. Serves as project manager and/or Contracting Officer Technical Representatives (COTR).
