Position Overview

Are you a diagnostic ace who commands both electrical logic and heavy‑duty mechanics? Superior Industries is seeking an adaptable Electro‑Mechanical Technician to join our production team. This isn't a repetitive assembly‑line job. You will own the integration of sophisticated electrical control systems into massive, heavy machinery—acting as the vital link between our engineering blueprints and field‑ready equipment.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • System Integration & Wiring: Install advanced electrical components, control panels, and specialized wiring systems onto heavy industrial machinery according to technical specifications.
  • Prototype Testing & Engineering Support:
Collaborate directly with the engineering department to troubleshoot and optimize prototype or "first‑run" systems, providing immediate technical solutions to integration challenges.
  • Quality Assurance & Validation: Conduct comprehensive electrical testing and systematic documentation to ensure all equipment meets performance standards and engineering blueprints prior to shipment.
  • Cross‑Functional Assembly: Assist with mechanical and hydraulic assembly tasks as needed to support production milestones and ensure timely project completion.
  • Technical Training & Leadership: Serve as the primary subject matter expert on the production floor, providing technical guidance and hands‑on electrical training to assembly personnel.
  • Process & Design Optimization: Identify and communicate opportunities for design enhancements and manufacturing efficiencies to the engineering team to improve overall product workflow.
Skills & Qualifications Required
  • Background: Possession of a Journeyman Electrical License, an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology/Mechatronics, or equivalent field experience.
  • Schematic Literacy: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and trace industrial electrical schematics.
  • Power Systems: Solid understanding of both 480

    VAC (three‑phase power) and 24

    VDC control circuits.
  • Code & Compliance: Practical familiarity with NEC guidelines as they apply to manufactured industrial equipment.
  • Tools of the Trade: Expert proficiency with diagnostic meters, soldering equipment, wire crimpers, and standard hand tools.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable navigating computers and learning proprietary equipment control software.
  • Value‑Driven: Aligned with our core principles of Serving Others, High Integrity, Strong Work Ethic, Culture of Opportunity & Long‑Term Relationships.
  • Problem Solver: Driven by a curiosity to solve the physical and logical "puzzles" of complex machinery.
  • Strong Communicator: Able to explain complex technical issues clearly to both assemblers and design engineers.
  • Team‑First Attitude: Highly collaborative and always willing to lend a hand wherever production needs it most.
What We Offer Our Team
  • Reliable Earnings: Stable, weekly paychecks and a 5% company match on your 401(k).
  • Premium Healthcare: Full dental and vision plans, plus medical insurance where we cover 75% of your premiums.
