Join URENCO USA for the 2027 Internship Program and take the first step toward a meaningful career in nuclear energy and innovation! We’re looking for motivated students to be part of a dynamic 11-week paid internship where you’ll work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience, all while supporting our mission to improve health and improve lives.

Help advance the communications for an international energy company focused on fueling a clean energy future while gaining real‑world experience working on various communications projects and tasks to support day-to-day department operations.

Our Hiring Process

We are accepting applications NOW through November 1st, 2026. Our internship is highly competitive and will have different process stages during the application phase.

Program Summary
  • May 2027 through August 2027 (11 weeks) internship program
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week for the duration of the program

Compensation
  • Paid Internship $21/hour paid bi-weekly

Candidate Requirements / Eligibility
  • Must be enrolled as a full‑time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
  • 2 years of college courses completed
  • Able to work ALL 11 weeks (May through August) of the internship program
  • Work Schedule
    :
    Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required.
  • Security Clearance Requirement
    : CAA Access and successfully pass a security clearance, background verification and drug free screening process
  • Work Environment
    :
    General Office. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
  • Responsible for the protection of confidential and proprietary information received during employment, including keeping information in strict confidence, exercising a reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others, not disclosing or divulging either directly or indirectly information to others, and not using the information commercially or for any other purpose other than the performance of their duties for Urenco. Confidential information includes information and data of any kind concerning any matters affecting or relating to Urenco business or operations, including compensation, investigations, financial controls, etc.

  • Written and verbal communication:
    Ability to craft clear, engaging messages across various platforms.
  • Editing and proofreading:
    Strong attention to detail in grammar, tone, and style.
  • Social media proficiency:
    Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, Linked In, X (Twitter), and Facebook.
  • Content creation:
    Experience with creating intranet content, newsletters, short‑form videos, graphics, presentations, or multimedia content.
  • Research skills:
    Ability to gather and synthesize information for campaigns or reports.
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite:
    Especially Word and PowerPoint.
  • Graphic design tools:
    Basic knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Photography/Videography:
    Experience with shooting photos and/or videos for use in communications products.
  • Video editing:
    Familiarity with video editing techniques and effects.
  • CMS platforms:
    Familiarity with content management system basics.
  • Analytics tools:
    Understanding of Hootsuite and Google Analytics.
