About the RoleThe Registered Nurse (RN) will work as part of a team of 4, providing patient care in an institutional setting for a 13-week contract.
Job Responsibilities- Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.
- Attend sick calls with the physician, prepare examination rooms and equipment, and assess inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries.
- Refer inmates/residents to emergency or other healthcare facilities as needed.
- Perform emergency procedures and notify licensed providers for treatment orders.
- Supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nurses and non-licensed staff.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a degree/diploma.
- Current licensure in the state of employment.
- BLS certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
- Work is performed in an interior/office environment.
- Prolonged sitting and standing are involved.
