Travel Registered Nurse Postpartum

Registered Nurse (RN) – Postpartum needed for a travel assignment in Milan, New Mexico. This 13-week engagement starts on 09/21/2026 in a hospital postpartum/LDRP setting. You will work a 12-hour rotating night schedule (3x12), with potential holiday and weekend coverage. Weekly pay ranges from $2,598 to $2,768, and 36 guaranteed hours per week. This assignment emphasizes patient- and family-centered perinatal care, adhering to the New Mexico Nurse Practice Act and current evidence-based guidelines.

• Work setting: hospital perinatal unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

• Conduct thorough postpartum assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for postpartum patients and newborns
• Deliver direct nursing care across the perinatal spectrum, promoting safe, culturally competent, and evidence-based practices
• Provide clear education to patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, lactation, and safe transitions of care
• Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses and other ancillary personnel; ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Float to other departments as needed, with appropriate orientation and training

• Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
• Education:
  
  Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Department‐specific qualifications for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP): current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
• OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months
• SAFER NM Technician certification preferred
• Education and clinical experience that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for perinatal/postpartum care; ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Ability to work in a hospital postpartum setting and to float to other departments as needed
