The Nurse Supervisor of Acute Orthopedics will report to a Director of Inpatient Orthopedics while partnering closely with a Nurse Manager, service line leaders, and an experienced orthopedic medical staff. The Nurse Supervisor of Acute Orthopedics will guide a collaborative team of friendly nurses and a diverse cadre of healthcare professionals—including PT/OT, case management, hospitalists, orthopedic surgeons, pharmacy, and infection prevention—to elevate throughput, staff engagement, and clinical outcomes.

With support from clinical educators, informatics specialists, and dedicated staffing resources, the Nurse Supervisor of Acute Orthopedics will oversee daily operations, coach charge nurses, optimize staffing and acuity, drive initiatives in pain management and early mobility, and lead quality projects in falls reduction, CLABSI/CAUTI prevention, and patient-centered discharge planning.
