Angel Fire Bike Park is in search of a skilled machine operator with experience and passion to join our team in building and maintaining the 60+ miles of trail in the bike park. Our bike park includes a variety of green, blue, and black trails that need regular re-building and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience operating skid steers, dozers, and excavators, and experience building quality bike park trails for riders to enjoy.
This position requires self-motivation and a vision for exceptional trail design.
Base Pay:Depends on experience

Environment: This is a physically demanding outdoor position. Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift and regularly lift/carry 75lbs. This is a do-whatever-it-takes job that requires the ability to work in varied environments
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Safely operates machinery such as excavators, skid steers, dozers
- Uses hand tools such as rakes, picks, shovels
- Safely operates chainsaws
- Maintain existing trails
- Re-build and create new sections for existing trails
- Create designs with Bike Park Manager
- Understand gravity-fed mountain bike trail layout, erosion mitigation, durability construction
- Have a keen eye for trail safety design on all trails and features construction (creating safe trails for all skill levels)
- Self-motivated individual who takes pride in constructing awesome bike trails with amazing flow
- Create trails with the skill level of the rider in mind: greens, blues, black diamonds
At least 3 years’ experience working on a trail crew running excavators, skid steers, dozers at a gravity park.
- Experience with creating new machine-benched trail with quality jumps, berms and features
- Must be able to ride a downhill mountain bike at an advanced level, maintaining control in all conditions and on all runs.
- Must have experience with hand tools, heavy machinery, and chainsaws as well as basic woodworking and maintenance skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with driving record insurable under resort insurance.
