Water Well​/Bison Technician

• Checking, testing, repairing, and developing water systems such as windmills, solar wells, wildlife guzzlers, storage systems, and tanks from pipelines
• Working with the Castle Rock bison herd as part of the ranch’s Bison Department
• Moving/Handling bison using low stress techniques
• Maintaining records of grazing activity, range health, feeding and feed inventories
• Participating in bison handling, including herd movements, tagging, and vaccination
• Operating a variety of ranch equipment safely

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• At least three years of related experience and / or training
• Experience in livestock care and low-stress animal handling
• Experience operating heavy equipment and ATVs/UTVs
• Basic computer skills, including preparation of reports and spreadsheets
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment

Demonstrates expertise in livestock care, low-stress animal handling, and the operation of ranch equipment. Proficient in maintaining records and preparing reports related to grazing activity and range health.
