With a brand-new ski lift going into commission this winter, it is an exciting time to be a Lift Operator at Angel Fire Resort! Join the Lift Operations department and play a very important role in running the winter mountain operations. Lift Operators are responsible for ensuring guests load and unload the lift successfully and that all lift protocol is followed.

The successful applicant will be ready to assist guests through the lift process, will work well in a busy environment, and will be prepared to work in winter weather conditions. Operators must have excellent customer service skills and must be able to work on a team.

Environment:
This is a physically demanding winter outdoor position. Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift and regularly lift/carry 75lbs. This is a do-whatever-it-takes job that requires the ability to work in varied environments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Safely operate the chair lift and surface lift, following all protocol and procedures
• Help guests load and unload the lift, which often includes assisting children and first-time skiers
• Direct ski traffic, scan tickets, setup and maintain lift lines
• Follow radio protocol/procedures when communicating over the radio
• Maintain the ramps and shovel snow in designated areas including off of ski benches
• Assist with customer questions and concerns in a professional and helpful manner
• Work well on a team in a busy environment
• Complete daily tasks as assigned by Lift Supervisors and Manager
