Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Quality Manager to lead and oversee all QA/QC activities at the project level.

The Site Quality Manager reports to the Regional Quality Manager and serves as the on‑site leader for implementing the Site‑Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), managing quality inspection teams, and acting as the primary quality liaison with on‑site client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong background in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, electrical infrastructure, civil engineering, and structural construction, committed to driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Full‑time position located on a jobsite in Farmington, NM. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and management of processes according to the SSQP, adhering to company policies, project specifications, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, ASTM).
  • Develop the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) for the project, including inspection processes for all definable features of work.
  • Enforce company‑wide Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections in accordance with the established ITP, SSQP, and contract requirements.
  • Perform internal, process, and documentation audits on all construction activities, including civil, mechanical, and electrical installations, and commissioning. Document findings and verify implementation of corrective actions.
  • Identify, report, and manage nonconformance issues and quality deficiencies.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and develop effective corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, non‑conformance reports (NCRs), test results, and generate regular quality metrics reports for project and company leadership.
  • Become proficient in SOLV Energy’s proprietary Quality Software “Sunscreen” for inspection documentation and reporting.
  • Review subcontractor QA plans, conduct audits, and ensure supplied materials and equipment meet specifications.
  • Facilitate lessons learned meetings and provide feedback to engineering and procurement teams to improve project quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct post‑construction reviews and input new Lessons Learned into the repository for training applications.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with contractual requirements, manufacturer instructions, and all relevant codes and regulations.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3–5 years in utility‑scale solar quality management.
  • Certifications:

    Quality management certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, Six Sigma) and OSHA 10 or 30 certification are highly desirable.
  • In‑depth knowledge of utility‑scale PV systems, civil construction, electrical and mechanical codes, and QA/QC methodologies.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6) and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven leadership capabilities.
  • Must be able to travel frequently and work on‑site at remote project locations for extended periods.
