Overview

PDS Tech Commercial seeks a highly motivated Sr. Quality Control Inspector to support the Quality team. Guided by our value “Safety above All”, we proactively manage risks inherent in human spaceflight through daily actions in design and assembly.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections as scheduled, ensuring workmanship meets industry practices and complies with MFG Work Instructions.
  • Conduct preliminary, in‑progress, and final inspections on all articles processed.
  • Review MFG records, work order reports, and forms for completeness and accuracy before releasing components and vehicles for return to service.
  • Inspect for defects and damage, proper identification, and dimensions using measuring devices.
  • Follow and document complex processes, input data, and inspection results.
  • Be familiar with inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in their specialty to determine quality or airworthiness in alignment with safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with engineering, management, and production personnel to convey product acceptance criteria and inspection results.
  • Generate Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required within TipQA and/or Apriso.
  • Perform receiving inspection duties as needed for all incoming material.
  • Oversee proper tagging and identification of all parts to ensure rejected or non‑repairable components are marked, quarantined, and rendered unusable.
  • Conduct work in a manner that enhances personal and workplace health and safety, product safety, and promotes risk reduction.
  • Participate in safety‑related event investigations and immediately report hazards with suggestions for control.
  • Cooperate and contribute toward the overall success of the safety program at the local level.
  • Continuously practice safety behavior and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) awareness/prevention; adhere to regulatory protocols and rules.
  • Lead technical investigations to support quality processes and Root Cause Corrective Action activities.
  • Adhere to directions and guidelines from team leader to support collaboration across teams to complete projects.
  • Handle quality control assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
  • Ensure quality and efficiency of installations, including troubleshooting and providing guidance where needed.
  • Assist with providing technical guidance and training to Quality Inspectors on inspection techniques, quality standards, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate to achieve goals and complete assigned tasks within the Quality Control team and with other departments to maintain high quality standards.
  • Assist the Quality Control supervisor with leading quality projects within the department to achieve goals and solve problems.
Required Skills And Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a related field, such as aerospace parts and components, manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), or airline environment.
Pay Details

$40.00 per week.
