Machine Operator - Press Brake
Santa Teresa, New Mexico
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet customer requirements, engineering specifications, and company quality standards. This position performs inspections, testing, audits, and documentation reviews to verify compliance with quality management systems and manufacturing processes. The Quality Assurance Technician works closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to identify quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished products.
- Review and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Verify product dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and non-conformance documentation.
- Conduct root cause investigations and assist with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 and other quality management system requirements.
- Identify, document, and report quality issues to management.
- Support customer audits and supplier quality activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of quality assurance or quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality management software.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality inspection methods is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent use of measuring instruments and computer equipment.

- Exposure to moving machinery, metal products, and industrial equipment.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and gloves.
