Required Skills & Experience- 4-6+ years of experience as a Quality Control Manager or Construction Quality Control professional
- Experience supporting federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, DHS, CBP strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC quality control standards and federal project compliance requirements
- Experience managing quality control on projects valued at $10M+
- Background working for a general contractor or subcontractor in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical construction
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and maintaining quality control documentation, submittals, and inspection reports
- Nice to Have Skills & Experience- CQM-C certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Experience supporting border, security, or infrastructure projects
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Quality Control Manager to support a military construction project in New Mexico. This candidate will oversee the quality control program for a large-scale design-build project at Melrose Air Force Range, ensuring all construction activities meet federal standards, contract specifications, and internal quality expectations. This is a highly visible onsite role supporting critical infrastructure work, ideal for someone with strong federal construction experience, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to partner closely with field leadership and subcontractors to keep the project compliant, efficient, and moving forward.
Day-to-Day:
- Oversee and enforce the site-wide quality control program in alignment with contract requirements and federal standards
- Conduct daily site inspections to verify work is performed according to plans, specs, and quality expectations
- Lead and document preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections
- Review submittals, RFIs, material approvals, and inspection reports for compliance
- Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Maintain quality logs, punch lists, reports, and project compliance documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and federal quality representatives
- Support project closeout documentation and final quality turnover deliverables
