Mountain Bike Rental Technician (Maintenance)

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. offers premier lift access mountain biking, bike rentals, and repair services at the Kachina Basin. Additionally, we offer electric assist mountain bike rentals and repair services at the Blake Hotel in the main base area. We provide elevated, fully supported road and mountain biking experiences for our guests at the resort and in the region.

Bike Rental Technicians at Taos Ski Valley, Inc. are provided with the training and tools needed to complete their work professionally, in 2 different locations on the resort. Bike Rental Techs are provided a summer seasonal pass for MTB lift access and use of fleet bikes. Staff housing, on or near the resort, is available seasonally. Continuing education opportunities may be available.

Managed by Resort Services, our summer bike operations appreciate the support of, and actively participate in resort retail, rental, and special event operations.

• Prior bicycle repair or rental work preferred but not required.
• Retail point-of-sale software experience preferred.
• The ability to prioritize and perform multiple functions simultaneously in a high‑pressure environment and on strict deadlines.
• Demonstrates experience appropriately handling differences, both internally and/or with guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Taos Ski Valley is located in a high‑altitude alpine environment. Position may require moving on uneven surfaces and may be exposed to wet, icy, cold and/or humid conditions. Travel may be required.

• 50% of time spent at a bicycle repair stand.
• 50% of time spent standing/walking.
• 25% of time spent moving objects - often lifting 50 lbs, rarely up to 75lbs, and using a dolly.
• 25% of time at a workstation or point of sale.

Positions dealing with children, of safety sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
