Job Summary

As a Territory Sales Representative – Surgery Centers, you will secure and maintain the distribution channel while growing Cardinal Health Brand and preferred national brand products within free‑standing ambulatory surgery centers (ASC). You will drive new business and increase penetration in existing accounts through cold calling, prospecting, and relationship building.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage successful key relationships within ASC customers to achieve sales goals in the assigned territory.
  • Cold call, prospect, and build relationships to increase account penetration, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction within ASC.
  • Collaborate internally and externally with business units (e.g., national accounts, GPO representatives, and other vendors) to achieve results.
  • Conduct data analytics and analyze market penetration for products in both new and existing clients, identifying areas for development.
  • Coordinate pre‑call planning with sales support staff and delegate data collection to team members.
  • Determine prices offered to the client based on Group Purchasing Agreements, find suitable and more affordable alternatives, and determine rebate eligibility.
  • Complete all administrative tasks and training, including expense reports, pipeline updates, maintaining accurate SFDC records, and market feedback.
  • In‑service accounts by demonstrating product applications, functionality, and use; may include start of a night or weekend shift.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
  • Maintain required sales activity levels (e.g., number of visits, calls, and products presented per account).
  • Assist distribution order support and coordination as needed; help customers with back‑orders and related service issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of the current industry/competitive landscape, including GPOs, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, and competitive products.
  • Travel within the assigned territory, including overnight travel as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of related sales experience; preferred.
  • Ability to understand complex contracting and develop sound financial business cases.
  • Experience with business development and cold calling.
  • Excellent phone, written, and in‑person communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated history of high achievement and coachability through new challenges.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in one of the 50 states with a clean driving record.
  • Customer/vendor credentialing required (may include vaccinations).
  • Ability to work remotely from home with a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction‑free environment and high‑speed internet; high‑speed internet supplied by candidate.
  • Will be responsible for providing high‑speed internet.
Compensation & Benefits

Anticipated pay range: $123,000 – $143,800 (includes targeted variable pay). Bonus eligible:
