Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular (Cardiovascular Community) – Saginaw, MI
Position SummaryThe TAS is responsible for driving demand for BMS medicines within the portfolio and managing relationships with clinicians. The role focuses on scientific dialogue, building credibility with key healthcare providers, and ensuring a superior customer experience through compliance and timely support.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Promotion – Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region, meet or exceed sales targets, create demand through balanced clinical and scientific rationale, maintain product expertise, prepare territory and account plans, use tools such as CE^3 to inform call plans, provide feedback for improvement.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue – Demonstrate scientific expertise, conduct in‑office presentations, organize speaker programs, maintain expertise on emerging data, respond to medical queries via Medical on Call.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration – Collaborate with field teams and other stakeholders to deliver an outstanding customer experience, share insights internally, and comply with all laws, regulations, and policies.
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians.
- Proven experience building credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network.
- Experience in cardiovascular required.
- Strong account management skills, superior selling competencies, and a record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Effective cross‑functional teamwork and a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Strong selling and promotional skills demonstrated through performance history.
- Customer/Commercial Mindset – Drives business results, engages and cultivates credibility across the patient care journey, problem‑solving, resourceful.
- Patient Centricity – Understands patient journey, maintains a patient‑focused mindset.
- Scientific Agility – Excellent communication and presentation skills, continuous learning, staying current with latest data.
- Analytical Capability – Analyzes prescribing patterns, market trends, and HCP preferences; uses data for dynamic call planning and segmentation.
- Technological Agility – Adapts to digital communication channels, uses CE^3 and other technology tools, manages data entry and quality in compliance.
- Teamwork/Enterprise Mindset – Strong business acumen, collaborative attitude, high integrity and good judgment.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing issued by state of residence.
- Driving risk level deemed acceptable by the Company.
Field – United States – US: $124,090 - $150,370. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. Final individual compensation will be determined by demonstrated experience.
