Job Title: Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - Lexington, KY

OverviewThe Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) plays a critical role in driving demand for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) cardiovascular medicines within a defined territory. The TAS is field‑based, engaging healthcare providers (HCPs) with scientific dialogue, building credibility, and supporting the adoption of BMS products.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Promotion – Promote approved indications of BMS products to meet or exceed sales targets; create demand by articulating clinical and scientific rationale; maintain scientific expertise; prepare territory and account plans; use tools such as SOPHIA for insights.
- Scientific Dialogue – Demonstrate scientific expertise; conduct in‑office presentations; organize external speaker programs; keep up with emerging data; provide real‑time medical support via Medical on Call.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with field and internal stakeholders to ensure a high customer experience; share insights; comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
- Advanced scientific degree; preferred 5+ years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales, medical science liaison, or related.
- Strong communication skills to convey scientific or clinical data accurately.
- Experience building credibility with HCPs and other customer influence networks.
- Preferred experience in cardiovascular therapeutics.
- Demonstrated account management and sales performance, exceeding goals.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in customer‑centric selling, problem‑solving, and data‑driven insights.
- Customer/commercial mindset – drive business results, engage and cultivate credibility with customers.
- Patient centricity – understand the patient journey and deliver tailored messages.
- Scientific agility – excellent communication of scientific data, continuous learning.
- Analytical capability – analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, and BMS product data.
- Digital agility – effective use of technology for communication and data management (e.g., CE³, CRM, Medical on Call).
- Teamwork/enterprise mindset – strong business acumen, collaboration, integrity, and judgment.
Field – United States – $124,090 – $150,370. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available. Final compensation is based on demonstrated experience.
