Position Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialty – San Diego, CA. The TAS is a field‑based role responsible for driving demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines within the cardiovascular portfolio, engaging with healthcare providers (HCPs) through a differentiated scientific dialogue and ensuring safe and appropriate product use while achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities- Promote approved indications of BMS cardiovascular products within the assigned territory, creating demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow scientific expertise on all assigned products and therapeutic areas; conduct in‑office presentations, lunch and learns, and organize external speaker programs.
- Collaborate with field teams and internal stakeholders to provide a seamless customer experience, sharing relevant insights and ensuring compliance with all laws and company policies.
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in a healthcare sales, MSL, or physician role.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific data accurately and convincingly, build credibility with key customers, and achieve sales or account management performance goals.
- Experience in cardiovascular therapeutics preferred; strong account management, problem‑solving, and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with digital communication tools, CRM software, and data‑driven call planning.
- At least 21 years of age, a valid driver’s license in good standing, and a driving risk level deemed acceptable by the company.
Field‑United States compensation range: $134,390 – $162,843 (base). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may apply.
