Business Development Executive
Ingram Micro seeks a Business Development Executive to expand the MS Surface category and strengthen partner relationships across the United States.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute a category strategy to drive growth and new business development within the category.
- Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential market opportunities to shape the category’s success.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing partners, including strategic partnerships, alliances, and end‑customer acquisition motions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and strategic partners; negotiate and secure favorable terms to ensure mutual success and accelerate category growth.
- Conduct in‑depth market research and analysis to stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams—sales, marketing, product management, and operations—to align strategies and accelerate new business development.
- Engage directly with key existing customers to understand their unique needs and challenges, leveraging feedback to drive product improvements and deliver exceptional experiences.
- Work closely with product management to identify opportunities for product expansion or development to meet customer demands.
- Drive insights and actions for reseller partners and vendors, increasing usage of the Xvantage platform.
- Focus on solution selling across a portfolio of vendors, building full solutions rather than single–vendor offerings.
- B2B channel experience and MS Surface sales experience.
- Strong partner management and relationship‑building skills.
- Analytical, data‑driven mindset with experience using sales and market insights to drive growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of strategic selling principles, order management, project management, and operations.
- Advanced knowledge of Ingram Micro’s solutions, products, services, and value proposition.
- Proven success in growing and maintaining year‑over‑year sales results.
- Experience in negotiations, closing sales, coaching associates, and order management.
- Ability to manage profit and loss concepts and forecasting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen; influence, multi‑task, respond to rapid change, manage projects, detail, relationships, resources, and set realistic goals and timelines.
- Travel required—regular in‑person customer engagements.
- Minimum of six years of strategic or outside sales, account management experience (preferably in a related industry) or four years of technology or distribution experience in a sales or customer service capacity.
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Base pay range: USD $58,000.00 – $98,600.00 per year (varies by location, job duties, and experience).
- Eligibility for merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives, and long‑term incentives.
