Position Summary
Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (Psychiatry) – Salt Lake City, UT;
Provo, UT;
Saint George, UT. The TAS is a field‑based role focused on driving demand for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) medicines within its portfolio, engaging healthcare providers, and ensuring safe, appropriate use of our products while meeting business results.
- Promote approved indications of BMS products within the designated territory, meeting or exceeding sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Develop and implement comprehensive territory and account plans, leveraging tools such as CE^3 to inform call plans and gather insights.
- Engage HCPs with balanced scientific and clinical information, present in‑office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns), and manage external speaker programs.
- Provide real‑time medical support through Medical on Call and maintain high‑level expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Collaborate proactively with cross‑functional field teams to enhance customer experience and share relevant insights internally.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, etc.) or 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales, MSL, or HCP roles.
- Strong scientific communication skills and ability to present clinical data accurately.
- Proven record of building credibility with key customers and achieving sales performance targets.
- Experience in account management and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Preferred experience in Psychiatry or Neurology.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company‑provided vehicle.
- Customer/Commercial mindset with a focus on driving business results.
- Patient‑centric approach and understanding of the patient journey.
- Scientific agility and strong learning mindset.
- Analytical capability to interpret market trends and tailor communication.
- Technological agility in using digital communication channels and CRM tools.
- Collaboration and teamwork, maintaining integrity and good judgment.
Field – United States – $139,230 to $168,714 per year (US). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may apply. Final compensation is based on experience and performance.
