- Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazardous conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or local law enforcement as directed.
- Control access points by checking identification, monitoring entrances, and verifying authorized entry in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Possess DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
