Summary

The position performs recurring building and utility maintenance and assists journeymen and higher‑graded workers. It applies skills across several trades. Duties may not match every task in each specialty, and some work may fall outside this role; however, if the general intent aligns with these functions, the position is appropriate.

This is a Career/Career‑Conditional Full‑time appointment. The incumbent performs recurring building and utility maintenance and operation duties. Assists higher‑grade employee in the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupation. Utilizes knowledge and skills in several trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, cement work, painting, and other related trades.

Salary Range: A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay.
