Warehouse Worker
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products, materials, and equipment in the company’s warehouse facility. Handle shipping and receiving in an organized, accurate, and timely manner. This position requires operation of large vehicles and forklifts to move products around. It is essential to maintain and inspect the designated equipment and vehicles. The Warehouse Worker maintains a safe, organized, and clean warehouse at all times.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate of $22.00 to $25.00, commensurate with experience. - Responsible for shipping and receiving inventory.
- Maintains records of received inventory and communicates timely to the responsible construction personnel.
- Reviews bills of lading for incoming shipments.
- Responsible for inventorying products against packing lists.
- Organizes, stores, and stages products for field distribution.
- Assists with updating and providing accurate records of inventory.
- Monitors inventory while keeping precise records of products stored or stocked.
- Inspects and maintains for safety and mechanical upkeep of vehicles and forklifts.
- Operates company vehicle, forklift, and other warehouse tools and equipment.
- Responsible for delivering products using moving vans, box trucks, flatbeds, and equipment trailers.
- Travels as needed to complete deliveries to and from vendors or job sites.
- Loads and unloads trucks and delivery vehicles using manual and motorized equipment.
- Maintains a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
- Works safely, adhering to all aspects of the Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self‑protection and for protection of fellow co‑workers, sub‑contractors, the public, and the client by supporting all company safety efforts.
- Performs administrative tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of warehousing, storage, and distribution methods and procedures.
- Experience with inspection and maintenance for vehicle and forklift safety.
- Verified experience driving large vehicles (moving vans, box trucks, flatbeds).
- Shipping and receiving experience, including checking bills of lading for incoming shipment and inventorying product against packing lists.
- Experience organizing, storing, and staging product for field distribution.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
