Position: OPERATIONAL LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR
Location: Santa Teresa

Supervise and coordinate the Logistics Team in the following activities and objectives:

On time delivery in any Inbound and Outbound shipments (Customers and Consumer requests) including customer transfers.

Responsible for the execution of different types of service mode including regular local deliveries, FTL (Over the Road), LTL, maritime containers and special equipment freight for all facilities (heavy machinery hauling).

Supervise and provide any support to request and coordinate container bookings/appointments/re-assignments, railbills, etc. (including drayage to and from ramp when applicable).

Support on all Customer (Freight IN) and Consumer (Freight OUT) requests via email, phone, or other communications modes for pickup and delivery of trailers, containers, Open Tops, Roll-Offs, and various packaging types accordingly.

Supervise and support external and internal driver schedule and drivers for customer equipment deliveries. Set drivers priorities and modify as required by customer demand Including the communication with 3rd party carriers for pick up of "ready-to-go" equipment and/or pick up at our customers’ sites.

Coordinates trailer repairs & freight charges following WSR purchasing procedures.

Supervises and Coordinates daily railcar requests, placements (switching), and releases with major Class I railroads (e.g., Union Pacific, BNSF) and local short-line operators.

Manage and mitigate rail demurrage and storage expenses by closely monitoring railcar dwell times and coordinating efficient loading schedules with facility managers.

Supervises and supports container bookings with export customers, ensuring timely return of loaded containers.

Supervise and support with any administrative task related to Logistics that must be entered into the system including format and report generation, expenses, etc.

Negotiate all freight rates with brokers, carriers, and drayage providers for inbound and outbound shipments.

Support and communicate commercial/sales/customer service areas and operations with all shipments needs.

Ensure all import and export documentation complies with U.S. and Mexican customs regulations, including CTPAT, CBP, and SAT.

Update and maintain the logistics calendar, outbound container logs, and logistics reports for all locations.

Analyze transportation costs, identify savings opportunities, and prepare periodic reports on logistics key performance indicators (KPIs).

Ad-hoc problem solving of different logistics issues.

Ad-hoc Administrative duties required for record keeping in the department.

Physical Demands

Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, climbs stairs, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 20 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; overtime and weekend work is also necessary on a need basis.

Required

Education and Experience

High school diploma. Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in logistics coordination and strong teamwork skills, with specific hands‑on experience managing all freight modes (LTL,TL, ocean, rail, custom freight). Experience on crossboarder freight and customs is a must.

Education and Experience

3 to 5 years of Logistics department supervision is a plus.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Due to the high communication with customers in Mexico, this position must be bilingual (Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, spoken and written). Solid understanding of U.S. and Mexican transportation and customs regulations (Incoterms, CTPAT, OEA). Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and railroad billing portals (e.g., ShipCSX, UP MyRR).
