* Chino is an open-pit copper mining complex located 15 miles from the historic mining community of Silver City in southwestern New Mexico. The historic Chino mine was among the world's first low-grade, open-pit copper mines. Today, the operation consists of a 36,000-metric-ton-per-day concentrator that produces copper and a 150-million-pound-per-year solvent extraction/electrowinning plant that produces copper cathode from solution generated by run-of-mine leaching.

** What You Will Do*
* + Assign, supervise, and review the work of staff for assigned work unit.
+ Implement production plans according to approved schedule.
+ May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult.
+ Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.
+ Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
+ Prepare estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities
+ Maintain an inventory of parts and materials.
+ Approve purchases of materials and equipment; maintain time, materials and equipment use reports.
+
Requisition tools, supplies, materials and equipment
+ Train staff in safety procedures
+ Maintain safety data sheets for crews.
+ Mentor staff in warehouse policies and processes. Ensure all training for warehouse staff is up to date.
+ Perform other duties as required.
** What You Bring To Freeport*
* + High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related operational experience
+ Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
+ Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
+ Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects.
+ Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration.
+ Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
+ Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
+ Thorough understanding of warehouse inventory control systems, purchase orders
+ Ability to problem solve and do reconciliations and root cause analysis
+ Knowledge of purchasing rules, regulations, methods and forms
+ Expertise in operating a variety of light equipment, hand trucks and vehicles within a warehouse environment
+ Proficient bar code usage
+ Ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
+ Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude
** Preferred Qualifications*

Experience with SAP
+ MSHA experience
+ Familiar with MS Office Suite (excel, word)
+ Previous Supervisory experience
+ Previous Warehouse experience
** What We Offer You*
* The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$75,000-$104,000** . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
