The Department of Special Services is looking for a dynamic, licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist who has experience providing therapy with middle school students on the spectrum and those with developmental disabilities for a leave replacement position from on or about June 1, 2026, through January 21, 2027. Experience with the integrated model is a strength. We use a multidisciplinary approach, which emphasizes teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
New Jersey certification required. Services include individual, group, push‑in and pull‑out settings dependent on the child’s IEP. Evaluations of students for speech services is another requirement.

- Experience with PROMPT therapy
- Use of AAC devices
- Determining appropriate speech therapy treatment plans through documented evaluations and consultations
- Consistently providing only the highest quality of speech therapy service
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all State regulations pertaining to the services provided
- Collaborate with staff in developing a comprehensive plan to provide activities and support to meet the speech and language learning goals.
- Communicate effectively with parents about progress and home support
- Experience logging of SEMI services

Salary will be based on an annual salary guide of $52,772
–$114,492 commensurate with education and experience as per the negotiated contract.
