Service Mechanic-Plant Operator Eve

Summary

Responsible for routine, preventative, operational and emergency services relating to physical plant, adjacent buildings and facility-related equipment.

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
• Completes assigned work orders.
• Maintains life safety equipment in accordance with NFPA. Prepares documentation.
• May document file, transport all archive items (NON-H.I.M).
• Carry house pager and complete tasks.
• Document and file all equipment manuals.
• Troubleshoot daily problems as needed.
• Move offices, furniture.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

• Required:
  
  Mechanical knowledge & basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC & plumbing systems. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Language, mathematical & reasoning ability.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  five years
• Desired:
  Plant operation & maintenance experience. Knowledge of safety management. OE-2 preferred.

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational:
Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort:
Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment:
Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
