Substitute School Nurse
New Milford Public Schools, a growth-oriented, progressive K‑12 public school district in Bergen County, is looking to hire substitute nurses for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Qualifications- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse of New Jersey
- Current certification in CPR
- Stand in for school nurses during absences
- Attend field trips as needed for medically compromised students
- Attend school‑organized activities as needed
- Follow school district standing orders
- Administer first aid as per district policy
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and per district policy
- Document all encounters in the electronic health record or appropriate method
- Communicate with home‑base nurses
- Adhere to all district rules, regulations, and policies
