Job Summary
The Forklift Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance on industrial equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, scissor lifts, tuggers, floor scrubbers, and golf carts. Strong electronic troubleshooting, hydraulic troubleshooting, and Crown background skills are required.
Job Type – Full‑time.
Key Job Responsibilities- Maintain industrial mobile equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, including root cause analysis; research potential warranty, rework, and repetitive repairs using historical equipment data available through the Field Connect service platform.
- Complete all repairs in a timely manner and in accordance with the manufacturer’s repair guidelines.
- Make judgments and decide on the most appropriate course of action considering costs and benefits.
- Inspect equipment – perform audits on equipment per the PM Planning tools schedule in Field Connect.
- Communicate information to supervisors, co‑workers, and subordinates by phone, in writing, e‑mail, or in person.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all work orders and service records per the Concentric time standard.
- Maintain accurate and timely entry of work hours in the Paylocity time‑keeping platform.

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical repair skills.
- Proven experience in electric forklift repair; primary focus on electric trucks.
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites.
- Hydraulics or conveyor experience is a plus.
- Self‑motivated with strong time‑management and minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills for documentation and customer interaction.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with computer use.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, crouch, and work in confined areas.
- Must meet all physical requirements of a service technician.
- Willingness to learn and be trained.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, walking up to 8 hours, using hands to lift, maneuver, handle, or feel, and speaking or hearing. The employee frequently walks and reaches with hands and arms; occasionally stands, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee may lift or move up to 100 pounds, wear approved PPE, and maintain situational awareness. Vision requirements include close‑up vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WorkEnvironment
This role is performed primarily at customer facility locations. Noise levels are moderate to heavy; hearing protection may be required at times.
