Job Overview

On behalf of Stingray Radio, The Warrington Group is recruiting a Media Sales Strategist to join the Kentville team covering the Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia.

Stingray Radio is Canada’s premier radio broadcaster and a leading global music, media, and technology company. In Kentville, Rewind 89.3, a Classic Hits station, provides a strong local presence with access to Stingray’s broader national media network.

This consultative, territory‑based sales role anchors in Kentville and focuses on managing and growing an active client portfolio while developing new business opportunities across radio and digital platforms.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in sales or account management and has a track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. You are confident presenting ideas to business owners and operators and are comfortable developing custom, multi‑platform marketing solutions.

You are organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. A team‑focused mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to be part of the Annapolis Valley business community will set you up for success.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a local sales leader for Rewind 89.3, Stingray’s Classic Hits station in Kentville.
  • Represent Stingray Radio stations nationwide, unlocking multi‑market sales opportunities.
  • Leverage diverse media solutions including radio, programmatic display and video, connected TV, digital out‑of‑home, You Tube, search, social, and proprietary retail media platforms.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting through needs analysis, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve established sales targets.
  • Develop strategic, consultative proposals tailored to client objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams – promotions, programming, creative, production, and digital campaign managers – to execute multi‑platform campaigns.
  • Support administrative responsibilities for the Kentville Sales Department, including proposal creation, booking coordination, and campaign wrap‑up reporting.
  • Represent the station at client meetings and community partner events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and community partners.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of in‑person consultative sales or account management experience.
  • Multimedia advertising or digital media experience considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Experience building and presenting strategic marketing ideas to business owners and operators.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and valid vehicle insurance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship‑building ability with a client‑focused mindset.
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Self‑motivated, accountable, and collaborative.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
