Job Title
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Executive Administrator for their new property in downtown New Orleans.
Job DescriptionThe Executive Administrator will oversee elite guests' stays, which includes pre-arrival, room allocation, meet and greet upon arrival, and touching base with them through their stay. The role involves determining amenities for all elite guests and coordinating directly with the management team. Additionally, the position requires coordination and ownership of all corporate, ownership requests, and bookings. The Executive Administrator will seek out opportunities for guest-centric experiences in all outlets of the hotel and work with departmental managers to ensure these opportunities are executed by all employees.
The role also includes looking for new/innovative ways to provide anticipatory service and coordinating among all departments for seamless execution of service. Administrative responsibilities include managing and responding to customer comments received via various platforms, facilitating recognition of employees based on guest feedback, coordinating and assisting in the planning and execution of certain guest and employee relations events, supporting the management of the General Manager's calendar, performing administrative skills, assisting in reviewing guest reservations requests, handling complaints in the absence of the General Manager, assisting with follow-ups to guests, providing a variety of reports, and maintaining multiple informational databases.
The successful candidate must have excellent computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, and hospitality systems. A background in food and beverage and/or rooms in a hotel environment is preferred. The individual should have a strong administrative background, preferably in a similar role in a luxury hotel. Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are a must.
The candidate must work well under pressure, be able to multitask, and have strong detail-oriented and organizational skills. High level of professionalism and integrity while preserving the confidentiality of the office is required. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic and open work environment are essential. Interest and ability to provide outstanding service to internal and external customers and suppliers, and anticipate their needs, are necessary.
High level of vocabulary in English, and be able to write in a stylish, professional manner, with excellent grammar, bilingual in Spanish preferred. Previous managerial experience in a hospitality and/or customer relations or a similar role is required. A college diploma in hotel management, administration, or related field is preferred.
