Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide academic assistance to students individually or in small groups to enhance student learning without compromising the quality of the student learning experience.

* Review concepts and learning objectives for courses taught in Chemistry specific to the subject area to be able to assist students with course content.

* Assist students with understanding concepts presented in the classroom.

* Distribute learning materials to supplement lessons presented in class (worksheets, study guides, test/exam reviews, etc.)

* Provide basic technical support to students using the computers in the lab.

* Communicate services to students and staff

* Assist in carrying out the resource lab's rules and guidelines

* Maintain learning environment in a safe, clean and orderly condition

* Perform other duties related to the School of STEM as assigned.

* Proctor exams as needed.

Required

Education:

Associate's Degree or higher (Can be In Progress) with a minimum of 6 Hours of Chemistry courses including one or more of the following Introductory Chemistry (Non-Science Majors), Chemistry (Science Majors), and Organic Chemistry

Required Experience:

Minimum of one year of general office experience or tutoring/teaching in a college setting.

Certifications:

N/A

Preferred Education:

Associate's Degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related field.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum of one year of tutoring/teaching Chemistry in a college setting.

Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
