The Senior Project Manager serves as the lead of the Trauma-Informed Schools project. This position supports and monitors the implementation of the grant-funded project. This position provides training, support and supervision to each of the schools participating in the project. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing and delivering professional development training and providing supervision to undergraduate students who participate in this project through service learning.

This position meets regularly with the Training Teams from each school to review progress and challenges to implementation of trauma-informed approaches.

REQUIRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Master in Education Degree from an accredited school.

* 5 years of experience in school social work and expertise in trauma, trauma-informed treatments, and teacher consultation.

* Experience in the development and delivery of professional development trainings and coaching in schools.

* Supervisory and management experience.

* Ability to identify and provide training in specific content areas related to the project, including creating safe classrooms, building strong teacher-student relationships, and de-escalation strategies.

* Skilled in coaching, supporting, and providing feedback to school-based Training Teams in the implementation of the trauma-informed schools model related to creating safe classrooms, building relationships with students, using positive and predictable discipline, and fostering student self-regulation.

* Available to help Training Teams and school social workers identify appropriate evidence-based individual and group interventions for students exposed to trauma based on the needs of the school and/or project.

* Participate in research protocols established for the project.

* Ensure timely and accurate collection of required data.

* Maintain records in an accurate and timely fashion.

* Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the schools and representatives of city governance.

* Practice within the ethical standards defined by the Louisiana Department of Education.

* Participate as an active member of the Project Team.

* Maintain current knowledge of research regarding trauma-informed approaches.

* Provide coordination assistance and support to the Coalition for Compassionate Schools.
